WHAT IS PAINT PROTECTION FILM ?
Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a clear protective layer applied to specific painted areas to help reduce stone chips, abrasion and wear caused by regular riding.
The end result should be protection you don’t notice day to day until it’s needed.
At MotoGlow, PPF is applied with a practical approach focusing on the parts of the bike that suffer most, while keeping the original look and finish intact.
WHERE PPF WORKS BEST ON A MOTORCYCLE
Motorcycles don’t wear evenly.
Some areas take far more abuse than others.
PPF is most effective on:
-
Fuel tank sides and top, where knees, zips and riding gear make contact
-
Front-facing panels and nose sections, exposed to stones and road debris
-
Lower fairing sections
-
Painted areas near luggage or straps, where movement causes rubbing
-
Select painted panels prone to repeated contact or impact, depending on bike design
COVERAGE OPTIONS
Paint Protection Film can be applied in different ways depending on what you want to protect:
-
Full bike coverage
-
Tank only coverage
-
Front-end protection
-
Custom panel coverage
The film we use comes from pre-cut kits created for specific makes and models, including bikes from brands such as Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, BMW and others.
INVISIBLE PATERNS
MotoGlow uses Invisible Patterns motorcycle-specific pre-cut PPF, designed to follow the shapes and curves of each individual bike.
Pre-cut patterns allow for:
-
Accurate fit and alignment
-
Clean, discreet edges
-
No unnecessary cutting on the bike
PPF installations are carried out following training completed with Invisible Patterns, with a focus on correct preparation, positioning and finish suited specifically to motorcycles.
PLEASE NOTE
-
PPF helps reduce marks from riding, but it doesn’t make paint indestructible
-
Existing marks or paint imperfections will still be visible under the film
-
The end look depends on bike shape and selected areas
-
Some installations are best done under controlled conditions for clean results
